Our log boxes have been designed with the aid of a CAD system and, although there is no British Standard applicable to log boxes, we manufacture them to the same exacting standards that we apply to our potato and vegetable storage boxes.
Due to the wide gaps our log boxes are designed for use as a log drying / log storage box.
Our log boxes are fitted with a diagonally opposing wooden brace in each end of the box and a toothed connector plate behind the vertical posts fitted mid-way along the sides of the box.
The end braces have a long shallow taper on the underside to ensure there are no trapping points when logs are being tipped out of the box.
- The plan dimensions of our ‘standard’ log box are 1830mm long x 1195mm wide.
- External (internal) heights are 940mm (813mm)
- Gaps widths are 75mm in the sides and ends, 50mm in the deck
- Standard fork truck tine clearance is 100mm unless otherwise discussed
- Nominal capacity is approx. 1.65m3
NB. Tolerance on the aforementioned sizes is + or – 5mm
Other sizes can be manufactured on request
To reduce transport costs our boxes can also be supplied in 5 panel flat-pack format for self-assembly on site.
We offer pre-cut repair boards to suit our own boxes and also those made by other manufacturers.
We also offer a log store, the external dimensions of which are 1200mm L x 400mm W x 1200mm D. This large log store is of heavy duty construction and the timber has been tanalith treated for longevity. Our log store can be supplied either fully assembled or flat-pack for ease of transport.
